Meet The Team - Mark Morreale - Product Manager

We’re excited to welcome you to the CoLab family, Mark! Tell us a little about yourself.

I’ve been a mechanical designer for about 18 years, with a few years in between spent in university. I took the long path to my degree, first spending 3 years in college where I gained a “hands on” education about the tools and techniques used to turn ideas into real products. I loved what I was doing so much that I continued my education at university where I got my degree in mechanical engineering.

How did you first get into engineering?

As a kid, I was more interested in taking apart my toys and figuring out how they were built, trying to understand the tricks that made them work. It usually ended up with non-functional toys but the lessons I learned trying to put them back together still live with me to this day.

Why did you join CoLab and what are you most excited about?

CoLab was built for people like me! I’ve been fortunate enough to work on teams of brilliant scientists, technicians and engineers and I’ve felt first hand the challenges in communicating complex ideas with the right people at the right time. 

Back in 2018, I was lucky enough to take part in some of the earliest versions of CoLab and I knew right away that the team at CoLab understood the challenges that we were facing and that they were committed to developing real solutions to address these needs.

I’m incredibly excited to join the team at CoLab and to build solutions that will enable engineering teams to do what they do best!

If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?

A Surface Plate and a good set of Jo Blocks.
