Tell us a little about yourself, Kelia!

I love a good cuppa joe and eat peanut butter out of the jar frequently. I’m from the Goulds (Goulds Rules). I played five years of varsity basketball at Memorial. I lived in Louisiana for a bit. I own a wheaten terrier named Dublin. I don’t eat meat—but I do eat fish now and then because I love sushi. I enjoy spending my weekends kayaking at the cabin and watching the show Friends.

How did you first get into sales development?

I was introduced to sales development while working in oil and gas. Sales sparked my interest because I wanted to be more engaged with our customers and clients! I liked the thought of a job where I could use my technical knowledge along with my communication skills.

Why did you first join CoLab and what are you most excited about?

I first joined CoLab because I was so impressed with the problem they were solving. As an engineer I’d felt the pain points of sending CAD via email to colleagues and doing design reviews over the phone or in meetings. I wanted to be part of this solution and I wanted to help make engineers' lives easier! I’m excited to grow as an individual as the company itself grows. So many exciting things are happening and it’s great to be part of something bigger than myself.

If you had to be shipwrecked on a deserted island, but all your human needs—such as food and water—were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?

My partner James and my dog Dublin. Was hoping this question was going to include that it’s a *tropical* deserted island, so I’m just going to assume that it is—it’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed some hot weather.
