How to Upload a 2D File

Uploading, Downloading, and Organizing Files

Once in a project, click the ‘Upload’ button (Upload Files) on the left sidebar, and then select ‘Individual Files’. Supported 2D file formats include: PDF, DWG, DXF, DWF, IDW and F2D.

The ‘Individual File Upload’ box will open. You can drag and drop the file(s) you would like to upload, or click ‘Choose Files’ to browse your computer’s file system. You can also drag and drop folders, which will upload all files within the folder.

Note that if the drawing references other drawing files, all files must be gathered and uploaded using the ‘Assembly’ upload option instead. The main drawing must be selected as the ‘Parent Assembly File’.

SOLIDWORKS drawing files (SLDDRW) can also be uploaded through the Gradient SOLIDWORKS add-in. Please note that SLDDRW files will be converted to the DWG file format before being uploaded to Gradient.

Click ‘Upload Files’ to begin uploading.

You can cancel file uploads at anytime by clicking the ‘Cancel’ button. Once you are done uploading files, click ‘Done’ to close the ‘Individual File Upload’ box.
